This race was another long day, late night grind to get our race vehicles ready. Desert Toyz race team's plan was to race the Rhino, RZR-S, and my Honda 450r Quad. The RZR-S would be driven by Mike Cook with Bill Fain navigating. The quad would enter the expert class with Matt Seay and myself riding. For my wife’s Mother’s Day gift, I switched it up and she drove the Desert Toyz Rhino and I was the navigator. This would be the second time she has driven the Rhino, and the first time I have navigated with her. Let me tell you, my wife is an AWESOME driver!!

Maxxis Tires will continue to support Desert Toyz Team Rhino, The UTV Racing Association and All of the BITD UTV race teams for 2009. Maxxis will continue to sponsor Desert Toyz Team Rhino for 2009. The 2008 Best in the Desert, Vegas to Reno race was extra nasty. The "SILT" ( a talcom powder like dirt that hide rocks and ruts that can swallow a UTV) was super deep and lots of it. Check out the pics on www.tracksidephoto.com under the 2008 Vegas to Reno, Buggie section. For 12, of the 14 UTV's entered in the Vegas to Reno race, the course would prove to be too harsh! Only 2 teams over came the odds and finished the 457 mile longest off road race in America!

Congratulations to the Jagged X UTV Team 1919 for winning the UTV class points championship for BITD for the 2007 season.
